A Trip to Otter Island

IsLAND EXCURSIONS

Just across St. Helena Sound lie Pine and Otter Islands, a wonderful part of the ACE Basin and
a naturalists'; and photographers'; paradise. The islands are protected as part of the St. Helena Sound Heritage Preserve and Wildlife Management Area and maintained by the Department of Natural Resources. Enjoy 2.5 hours on either of these uninhabited islands in the heart of the ACE Basin (boat ride is 15-20 minutes each way for a total of 3 hours). Often teeming with birds, this is a great place to explore tidal pools and shoreline that are home to many of our local wildlife. Enjoy your island excursion with us!

What's Included?

  • A 2.5-hour adventure to Otter Island, a pristine natural sanctuary in the ACE Basin.
  • Round-trip boat ride (15 minutes each way) with a chance to spot dolphins along the journey.
  • Exclusive access to a protected wildlife area, home to diverse bird species, marine life, and hidden treasures!

The Details

  • $50 per adult/$30 age 10 and under
  • Make reservations early as there are minimum numbers required for a tour.
  • The Otter Island Excursion will run during the falling high tide, and the Pine Island Excursion will take place at low tide.
  • Please bring your own water, towels, snacks, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Don't forget to bring your camera and binoculars.
